Just some math :
Starting points are the total of all attributes added together. Points from class difference are for example : Human STR = 45 , make them a Fighter which gives a minimum 55 STR = +10 points. Points for race/class is obvious. (starting points) (points from class difference) (points for race/class) Human = 315, 20, 40 total = 375 Lizardman = 300, 10, 60 total = 370 Dwarf = 300, 15, 45 = 360 Human VS LizardMan The tradeoff is 5 points to spend ( almost 1 levels worth ) vs minor resistances. The resistances suck anyway since divine and mental are Negative. The other positive resistances can be found on rings or any number of other items. Human VS Dwarf 15 point difference, but the dwarf gets damage resistance and fire resistance with no negatives. Is that worth 2 1/2 levels of attribute points ... This is true for most classes except certain Hobbit ( also get 315 ) and Faerie classes. |
