The views, the music, the nifty little details, the NPC followup to your actions, the humor, the party blabber! During combat, Vi was 'silenced'. Combat over, she leveles up. "Mmmph, mmmph, mmmmmph, mmmmmmph!!" she struggles valiantly to express her elation. Hilarious!

Also love the subtle goodbye from SirTech in their opening logo: the sound of the blimp raising up and flying off to new yonders. So evocative, it really tugs at my heartstrings. So long SirTech, so glad you were in the world for so long.

Elara, I am so humbled. I have YET to even see the opening logo of the game. I'm so anxious to play it, I click right past it!

But I agree completely that this is one of the most immersive multi-character party RPGs that I've ever played. I also love the humor. Have you had to leave the game without pausing and heard the characters sarcastically comment yet? One time, I was fighting a Swallower who was MAULING my party and one of my characters said something like "We could end this quicker if we just lit ourselves on fire!" What a riot!

*Minor spoiler ahead for Arnika Weapons Shop*

I was in the Arnika weapons shop and the armorer is this very right-down-to-business Rapax with horns (forget his name). I asked him "How are you?" and he hauls off on me! He says (paraphrased): "Let's get one thing straight. I'm not your friend, I'm not here to talk to you. I'm here to sell you weapons and armor..."

My jaw just dropped! How refreshing to have a game interact with you in this manner so realistically. How many "adventure parties" asking "How are you?" has this guy actually run into in his life? Tons! I enjoy this sort of thing.

**duh alert**

arg, am mixing apples and oranges again..

The goodbye is to the Wizardry series not SirTech.. but all the rest holds true, heartstring pangs and all.

To reiterate:

Also love the subtle goodbye from SirTech in their opening logo: the sound of the blimp raising up and flying off to new yonders. So evocative, it really tugs at my heartstrings. So long Wizardry(s), so glad you were in the world for so long.

I totally agree.. This is the best RPG I have played in years. I really love the fact that it's very challenging and forces you to specialize characters into roles rather than having 6 characters who can do it all. If this doesn't get serious consideration for RPG of the year from gaming web sites or magazines, I'll be upset

If there is any justice in this world Sir-Tech and the Wizardry Series (maybe under a new title) will be back..this game style is just too damn good to fade away. Ive played the Wiz series ever since Mad Overlord in 1980 (or was it 81?) on my Apple II+ I loved the BG series but I like this type of game just as much....if not more! We can only hope that EB markets this well and it sells by word of mouth...if it does I guarentee that someone will throw cash at Sir-Tech for another one...
