Marten's Bluff -- Words or Diary

I have the idol but cannot find the "words". I have clicked on the only mural or painting I can find and all that happens is a message box opens and displays "... but you can't remember where...".

Can anyone help.

Take the hall left from that painting. Follow the left wall til you come to large room with a mural up a few stairs on the left. (There is also a door on the right). Click on the mural and answer the question properly. I'd have Magic Screen already cast if I were you..

Sorry I got turned around.. go right (north) from the painting until you reach the larger room. Mural to click will be on the left. A gazillion pardons I ask of you. [img]smile.gif[/img]

psst, elara....

don't worry about it. one of the biggest reasons i can't give directions is that i have only "left" and "my other left"! LOL.

I guess I opened the mural a while ago and didn't remember. But have a new question. Are the "words/diary" an object that I should be able to pick up?????

If not, I tried to go back to the 6th bough to meet the shaman and I can't find him.

Can you help on that one? I have a locked door that requires a special object and then the pedestal. I tried to place the idol there, but nothing happened. I tried the idol at the door and still nothing????

You can't pickup the words. Once you find them they are recorded into your journal.
I'm not sure what's going on, but the Idol does go on the 2 tiered pedastal. I did have a little problem getting it on there, you need to be really up close and drop the idol in the little circular indentation on the top.

Me too. The quirky interface here is that you need to click the cursor on the idol stand's indentation, not place the idol/cursor so that it looks like it's aligned where it should be on the pedestal.

Thanks so much for all of your help. You don't know how many times I went back and forth between Marten's Bluff and Tynton and just couldn't figure it out. I couldn't find any more etc.....
