I've started putting out requests at a few of the places I haunt for small pic and big pic graphics that are 100% original and available for DC.

We currently need original artwork of the fantasy genre. We need character portraits of humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes and halflings. We need monster portraits of goblins, orcs, kobolds, etc. - any monsters that are Dungeons and Dragons related. We also need scenes of places such as castels, towns and dungeons.
The format we are looking for is 352x433 pixels for small pictures and 906x628 pixels for big pictures.
There are many other types of graphics needed if you want to help out more.
All artists will be given complete credit for their work in the project documentation. Plus, I will sing their praises here and on the project mailing list.
Also, our audience is 13 years and older.

I'ver heard back from four artist so far, two of whom will be allowing the use of their original work, one who may allow original work or will create new stuff for DC and one who was interested, but only if we paid him. Three out of four ain't bad.

Can you show me a couple example of character portraits so that I can see what this is about? I might give it a try if I get some free time.

No problem.
There are three resolutions that the game can use, but I would like the character portraits to be for the highest. Then we can just easily scale it down to fit the other two.
They are 356x422 pixels and can be .jpg, .bmp, .pcx or .png, but we prefer the latter.
