Seeing as I was on the topic of the default art set (and I am looking to increase my # of posts
![]() Again, while basically functional, it really doesn't do much for giving a 'Crafter what he or she might need/want in their 1st design. Particularly I am getting tired of the 'wabbit kicked the bucket' every time my party dies. (It was funny at 1st, but now it is getting tired... ![]() It there anyone hoarding any great freely available sound libraries out there? Also, I own a fantastic program to manipulate wave/mp3/whatever other format DC supports files and some skill at using it. I haven't ventured much into the realm of creating new sounds, but if anyone has any sounds that aren't quite perfect, or have a lot of noise or other undesireable sounds in them I would be happy to try to clean them up a little for you.

We should work up a list of all the sounds needed and wanted. There are a lot of resources on the net that offer free for not-for-profit sounds and music.
I'll start the list: CharDeath.wav (no more 'Wabbit kicked the bucket." please) bump.wav (something less 1980's) step.wav (too echo-y) cast.wav (too sci-fi) -manikus |

I've found a sound library created by the BBC that is free to use by the owner, but it's at my local library. I haven't actually listened to any of the sounds yet, but there are at least 60 CD's.
I will keep everybody posted, and upload if it's legal and good. ![]() -manikus |

That would be cool. I noticed at my Local Beast Buy that they are offering some CD with like 6000 sound effects on it (royalty free too!) I was thinking about picking up.

All I've been able to find at the stores out here are "Halloween" sounds in the bargain bins.
