Ok, so up till now ive made my games with rpg maker 2000. This looks much better, but is there anywhere that you can learn easily on the internet how to use it, and get downloads for it?

Speaking to your last question, there are a number of text files in the root of the DC directory named, race.txt, classes.txt, etc. By changing/adding to these files you can create new classes, races, etc.
BUT. It is my understanding that this is not *yet* implimented in the code. But when it is, it will be cool.

hi zorak and tarlanon-
1st question- i've used rpg maker 2000- it's kind of hard to compare the two, as they are really two different styles of games. it works differently in play, but placing events is very similar to placing triggers. as for downloads, go to the dungeon craft official site and look at the links on the left-hand side. http://uaf.sourceforge.net/ 2nd question- tarlanon is correct about which files and the location of said files. right now, you can only change the files existing elements, and not add new ones. after the magic and combat coding are finished, richard will add this ability, too. Hey Manikus. Welcome back from your vacation.
Can you really change the existing entries? I think I remember trying that (a couple of versions ago) before and it didn't work so well. Can the existing entries be changed?

thanks, tarlanon. vacation was great, but it's nice to be home.
i've successfully changed race names, and had some success with adjusting stat limits. (i'm using the latest version .904) -manikus |
