The default resolution for Dungeon Craft is 640 x 480 and with the config editor you can adjust that to 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768. I Prefer 1024 for the added resolution and even with the increased size it doesn't seem to affect gamplay as far as overworking the computer. Although I do have a gig of ram.
What is the prefered resolution by most of you? 640, 800, 1024 Most of the pics I post on my site are in 1024. If the everybody else is using 640 its a little silly for me to do that. I can just scale them down for posts and use the 1024 in my library. Let me know. Thanks Lord Killjoy I added an animation strip for Dungeoncraft let me know what you think. I just added 24 small pictures, 1 big Picture, and 1 wall [ 01-27-2002: Message edited by: Lord Killjoy ] [ 01-27-2002: Message edited by: Lord Killjoy ] [ 01-27-2002: Message edited by: Lord Killjoy ]

640
Simply because that's what pops up first, I think--isn't that the way it's designed? And I'm lazy, so...first come, first served. And besides, it looks just fine to me. Thaddeus Mass

P.S. Is it just me or are you stuttering, Lord Killjoy?

Yes, stuttering--or--as you might say:
Just having a little fun. Just having a little fun. Just having a little fun. (Forgot to mention that we all seem to be stuck on our post numbers: You're at 72.) (Whoops! Ignore above--I see what it's doing now. Hah!) BTW, Looked at your above-mentioned animation strip on your website. Very nice. But I have a question: When you walk down a corridor and that pops up at you--!--would it show immediately or would it take a while to load? It works like any other small picture. I've never seen any lag in using it.

My posts seem to be functioning normaly captain shall we increase to warp 9. Make it so! Sorry I don't know why but Captain Picard poped into my head while I was tying. Must be those darn acid flash backs.
Respectfully, Lord Killjoy

i've been doing all my stuff in 640 by 480. if i see something that i like in other setting, i can easily scale it down. but, honestly, it's probably because it was listed first and now i've fallen into the habit of it. not to mention that the smaller sizes are easier to work on in paint shop- i do everything at at least 2:1 and i like to be able to see the whole picture when i do this.
okay, i guess i'm just rambling now. |

Ramble away Manikus, It works the other way for me. With 3d rendering the rule of thumb is bigger is better. So when I scale down to the 640 format they don't look as sharp as at 1024.
