First of all, great to see the works back up and running!!!!
![]() now, to quote a previous post discussion from Cocoaspud: "The part about the app freezing worries me the most. What OS are you using (Win95/98/etc)? Is the image you loaded something that came with DC/EasyTex or your own creation? I ask so that I can try to reproduce your situation here." I run win 95 and loaded the easytex without a picture (could that be the cause?) and saw just black. hope that helps. Oh, BTW, now that I've had a little time to think the idea thru, I believe I can make an excellent adventure without including combat. Thats right, no combat at all. You have to use yer head. This would give me the opportunity to test out events pretty heavily and let you know any bugs.

I have a hard drive with Win95 on it just for this reason. I will swap it in and test the EasyTex program. I develop on Windows 2000 and sometimes there are problems that don't show up until the program runs on another OS.
Recently, there was an issue with the sound code not working because a Win95 user did not use Internet Explorer, and thus had not upgraded it from the default version of IE 3 that came with Win95. There was some sort of dependency in the BASS lib on IE 4 DLL's. The only person to upload a design so far, H. Polsa, also created a design (LastDays) without relying on combat. His latest design (not yet available), has some combat but not much. I believe the combat is optional.

I just installed EasyTex on a Win95 computer and it ran ok.
I used the installer downloaded from here: http://uaf.sourceforge.net/phalzyr/EasyWallTexz.exe and after I installed it and ran it for the first time I saw the default wall in 640x480 format. Mostly a black screen except for the small wall layout in the bottom left corner. My folder for easytex has this in it: EasyTex: EasyWallTex.exe ijl15.dll libpng.dll readme.txt EasyTex->Data: bounds.txt ceiling.bmp config.txt events.txt floor.bmp wall1.bmp wall2.bmp world.txt Does this match yours?

I am using windows XP and I haven't seen any problems yet. Unlike every other program yet but it will take time for the software to catch up. Xp is the best windows yet I have been using it for a few months now and haven't locked up my computer once and haven't even seen the blue screen of death yet don't even know if windows Xp has it?
