First of all, I have to salute a job very well done, Cocoaspud.

I have been playing around with some utils I got with my soundcard (soundblaster) and I found out how to make music. Being into music already, I was thrilled by this. But, now I have a Question, is there a (preferably freeware or shareware) util that converts midi (.mid) files to wave (.wav) or mp3? Or, does DC allow midi file music use? I havent tried it yet

Also, I haven't had any success at getting easytex to work at all on my 'puter. is there any specific settings it needs (that dc don't) to work?

Hi Silentthief,

for the conversion try this site http://hem.spray.se/joakim.slettengren/ they have really a huge load of programms for conversion of every format.
I don't have checked if have actually a tool for the conversion from mid to mp3 or wav.
I hope this helps you.

Friendly Greestings

my own thoughts are that you should leave .mid as .mid. dungeon craft does support this format, and the files tend to be a lot smaller. i have the feeling for those of us using a call-up connection, that download size is going to be a big deal when people start putting designs out.

I have been beta testing a design for Harri, and the total size so far for this unfinished design is 40MB zipped!

The drawback to MIDI files is that only one can play at a time.

About EasyTex settings...

Did you use the installer? It should do whatever is needed to make it work. What happens when you start it? Any error messages?
