I need some sugestions...I have been playing a multiplayer game so as to create 6 original characters. This has worked fine, but I am also a actuall DM for AD&D and being as such, I find it stupid that the game leads on to sell off all magical items and weapons, if the next youy find is slightly better. In true AD&D style very few characters would give up those items, for a little gold. I have found that a better alternative is to collect these items and give them to the normal game provided NPCs, (jaheria, Khalid, etc.) Since I started that i found that bringing all of the collectable NPCs together at Durlag's tower has created quite a fortified base of operations. With 18 6th level characters guarding it. (Yes I know nothing is going to attack but it looks cool non-the-less. Since then just for fun, I have wanted to create more guards, by adding characters that i have made. However there is a problem. Unlike the game provided NPCs; created characters seem to have a flaw in them. When ever they are droped into a certain area, if the game is reloaded, at any time, returning to that area, starts the user created NPCs, off on a quest to bug the protagonist to see if he or she wants them back in the group, This does not seem to be a problem with the game-provided NPCs. (They only come after you once, right when you drop them, but then stay put until you decide to talk to them again.) So my question is How do I turn this annoying action of player created NPCs off, so I can make servants and guards and such? I don't know whenter its a script or what but would be very grateful for so input on this.
