Forcing characters to talk

I have been running around the city, and I decided I want to change some characters in the party. I went and found Shar-teel but she will not talk to me. The same with Minsc. I think I remember there was some cheat code that allowed you to force characters to talk, but I can't find it.

Help!

cheats=1 in the .ini file.

Then CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys()
Then CTRL + Q

Hi again I've got the cluaconsole:enablecheatkeys() Then I hit enter In the dialog box above it says Active Stack: If I press ctrl and Q in just saves the game. If I type ctrl + Q I get a syntax error. I 've tried a number of variations with no luck. Help!!!

clua is case sensitive. Did you match the caps JrKASperov typed? I believe Active Stack is an error code for wrong input, it's been a while since I used clua.

Hi again I have matched the letter case EnableCheatKeys() then pressed the keys Ctrl + Q still nothing happens. Minsc(and Boo) does not offer to join my party.

Ctrl+Q only works in BG2 AFAIK. I don't think there is an equivalent for BG1.

NPCs not talking seems like a bug. Are you fully patched?

Maybe it's not registering the ctrl? I know Q is the shortcut for a quick save. Also, i've never had to type the enable cheat keys for any of that to work.

Did you put 'CLUA' all in caps? So it looks like this:

CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys()

Verbatim. I don't think Ctrl Q works in BG I though.
