Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings. And every time Kevin Smith has a birthday, Generation X is nudged that much closer to middle age. The writer/director — whose films have, by degrees, increasingly reflected touchstones of the maturing of his generation — will mark his 37th birthday with a Q&A in the city of his birth, Red Bank, on Thursday. Smith's "Clerks II" showed what happens when '90s slackers face '00s responsibilities. In a forthcoming Smith film, two 30-somethings attending their 15-year high school reunion concoct an antidote to career stagnation, one made clear in the film's title: "Zack and Miri Make a Porno." (The title alone won the project a green light.) Smith spilled about works-in-progress, his burgeoning side career as an actor and a local delicacy via telephone.

I don't think I've never seen a single disappointing Smith movie (although I haven't watched Jersey Girl) so I'm definitely looking forward to this. That man is the King of stoner movies.

Hahahaha yea I'm with ya Dreamer, I never saw Jersey Girls.
I think Smith is makin a horror picture too, or so I read.
