Well, aside from the forum ... let me rephrase the question. What book are you currently reading?
I have 2 going at the moment, War of the Twins by Weis/Hickman and the second one I can't remember the title, but right now the main character is Hugh the Hand, an assassin who's just been hired by the King to kill his 10-yr-old son to encite a war against the elves. This book is not set in the DragonLance or Forgotten Realms type worlds. It's interesting, but I misplaced the darned thing a couple of days ago, so I haven't been able to go forward with that one. Currently in War of the Twins, the Hill dwarfs have just sent word to the Army of Fistandantilus they when they (AofF) arrive, the Hill dwarves will join with them to storm the Thane of Thorbardin and Pax Tharkas. Anyone else? T |

You'll enjoy the Legends Trilogy - I have very pleasant memories of reading it 10 years ago when I was still in high school. It's very well crafted.
I'm currently reading Terry Goodkind's latest book, Chainfire. Goodkind's starting to stretch his series out a bit, I hope this doesn't turn into a 20-volume epic... |

No, Chainfire's the ending trilogy. Can't wait to get my hands on one of those!
In the meantime, I juststarted on the Cleric Quintet, bought it yesterday so i'm only at a 100 page now, but it looks like it'll be interesting.

::grins:: I believe I started the first of the Cleric's Quintet, but couldn't get too far into it. At the mention of Terry Brooks, I look up and see, resting on the shelf between the inter-office envelopes and one of my three plants, The Sword of Shannara. I forgot I had that one running too! : :
I think I'm to the point there where the core group has decided they must head out to Palanthas (sp) and try to get the sword. What is Chainfire about? |

One of the women I work with had brought me in her Rogue comic books to read a few months ago. It was interesting. First time I really ever read something like that - growing up I'd read like The Archie's or Sabrina : : I'm such a girl sometimes!!
I like other things than fantasy genre too. Coming from Maine, I have to be a big Steven King fan, but recently his stuff does not grab my attention. I'll pick up a Grisham book when a new version comes out in paperback and devour it in 3-5 days. Salvatore fan too. And Melanie Rawn now that I'm thinking about it. Anyone else? |

Just finished "Hell's Angel" by Sonny Barger (one of the founding members). Tells the story of how the club started and individual chapters grew. Oh, and tries to explain how the bad old po-lice have been harassing him (and them) for years.
About the best part of the whole book was when Sonny said he wished they'd switched to Japanese bikes in the 70's because they were better built and ran smoother/faster. Next up is "Ghost Soldiers" by Hampton Sides. The true story of how a group of Army Rangers landed in the Phillipines in WWII & rescued 500+ POWs, including the last survivors of the Bataan Death March.
