Rainbow 6 movie gets writer-director

Hmm, this may not be all that bad, I mean, the director did make Dawn of the Dead (Probably one of my favourite movies) so who knows [img]graemlins/1ponder.gif[/img]

The movie trade magazine Variety is reporting that Zack Snyder, who made his feature film debut in 2004 with the remake of Dawn of the Dead, will be writing and directing the movie version of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six. Snyder will be shooting the film version for Paramount Studios but there is no word of a release date for the movie. While Clancy did write the Rainbow Six novel back in 1998, it is much better known for its tactical shooter PC game series incarnation from Red Storm and Ubi Soft, which began around the same time as the novel was released and now consists of three main games and a number of expansion pack, with a fourth game on the way.

All I can say is .... the <s> book </s> game was great, I hope the film lives up to the <s> book </s> game
