Yes, it was a good movie.

Did you know that this movie has a director's cut with an alternate ending? I haven't seen it but I read that the alternate ending is much more serious.

I saw this movie at the cinima and also on DVD and also agree that it is a very good film (actually took Ashton seriously for the first time). My only real problem is not with the movie itself but with the transaction to DVD: They changed the ending!

SPOILERS:

In the end of the cinema version Ashton's character is still alive but has no involvement with Amy Smart's character. There is a scene at the end that shows them walk past each other and briefly pause before continuing forward without meeting each other. So in this version he sacrifices his love for her to give her a better life.

But in the DVD version he travels back to when he was in the womb and is a still born: He kills himself so that his friends lives are better.

I am not sure which ending I preffered but I just thought they should have chose an ending and stuck with it

Same here. I don't care for him much, and didn't think he could act, to tell you the truth, but this movie was EXCELLENT! I want the DVD even.

It's a decent movie, I liked the theater ending, the whole go back to the womb thing was just too weird.

the palm reader scene isn't in the theatrical version either I believe (wouldn't make much sense for it to be in anyway)
