FRIENDS: Rants and Raves

Okay, first my rant: Joey is a moron and an idiot. All he thinks about is who to s**** next. What the h*** are the producers doing. Well, I guess some fans love it. Sad but true. Bunch of sick b*******.

Now my rave, I got up to five seasons (DVDs) so far. Woo hoo! My fav characters are Chandler and Rachel. IMO, they're the most sane (not by much though ) of the bunch and funniest.

Yep, as with Seinfeld, I respect a show that knows when to go.

What I like about the show is the depth of the characters.

Okay here's another rant: Carol and Susan, the two lesbians in the show. When I saw the older episode where Ross learns of his first baby from Carol, I was so mad during that show. Susan was acting as if it was her baby and even wanted to contribute her last name. Ross's name was not even considered by those two. My thoughts were, how dare Susan comes in and 'steals' both Carol and the baby from Ross. What right does she have to even contribute her name. What a b****. So now everytime Susan comes on the show, I just want to turn off my TV. Yet my wife is understanding and keeps me calm to watch the show. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

BTW yeah, you guys are right. It's time this show is put to rest but still ... [img]graemlins/crying.gif[/img]

Well I suppose often when parents remarry, the child takes the name of the mother if she has custody, or, especially when the child is very young, the step-parent (if it is a man, since the mother usually also takes his name). IIRC Carol and Susan do get married (although perhaps not by that episode) so I guess Susan's name being contributed is a logical step.

Friends is still going? Just goes to show that even the best don't know when to quit. The by far worst case is The Simpsons though, they've been destroying the legacy of the show for several seasons now. You'd already kept the greatest television comedy known to man going strong for eight bloody consecutive seasons. Making more than 200 episodes of pure comedic genius wasn't enough for ya?!
