Avybody here fans of the original series? If so what was your favorite episode? Mine is the one where Burgess Merideth is the introvert bookworm. All he wants to do is read....boom....atomic bomb destroys everything and he is the last man on earth. So he walks around in horror till he comes upon the public library, now he has time for nothing but reading which is all he ever wanted to do, so he grabs a book hes always wanted to read, settles down and promptly drops and breaks his glasses. Classic show. Bottoms up to Rod Serling!

Eye of the Beholder is a good one, as is the one with William Shatner as the crazy guy on the airplane (forget the name of it). I liked the one with the lady thinking that mannequins are out to get her, as well.

They have a Twilight Zone marathon on the SciFi channel on some holidays (I know July 4th, but not sure about other holidays).

I loved the original show, but the new version with Forest Whitaker is just plain bad, not really his fault, but the show sucks and blows at the same time.

my favorite episode... I can't recall the name but it's abotu a ventriloquist dummy that eventually trades places with the puppeteer (who's the dummy now eh )

Question Mark

What made the original show so wonderful, especially in the most memorable episodes, was the ability of the writers to take something familiar and introduce something unfamiliar about it or put the familiar in unfamiliar surroundings.

Imagine this...

you are posting to Ironworks as per your normal routine. Strangely, you notice that someone has edited one of your previous posts...but there is no "edited by" tag, only the nagging suspicion that what you are reading is not what you wrote. A little checking shows that all your previous posts have been altered. You begin writing a post to find out what is happening, when you get an instant message asking you what you are doing; a little checking shows that the messenger is using your account and has your IP address. The sender of the message then makes an off-hand remark that you really don't look good in that color. The cold sweat trickling down your neck now confirms your suspicion that your computer has edited your posts and is talking to you right now. It is worse than you thought: your computer, the extension of your identity, has become you....

a modern parable about computers and identity theft.
