A CON score of 17 doesn't suck, trust me.
You can finish the game with any character you like. A solo ranger isn't all that hard but make sure you hit the experience cap before starting Chapter 6. (It's easy to do with the quests offered in Chapter 5.) What are your weapon proficiencies?

Sure it is. I'm presuming you've played through the game before a couple of times. You will be max level when you reach the final battle, and you will have plenty of buffs etc. so you'l be fine.

okay cool thanks guys =D yeah ive finished the game dozens of times grouped but this is my first time playing solo.
Its quite interesting actually now i have to re think how im gonna defeat certain people without having 5 more people backing me up, it spices up the gameplay.

You'll be fine. Just stock up on potions as best you can (healing especially, but also "buffing ones" to help resist heavy duty spellcasting opponents). However, much like your name, be an expert at stealth. Invisibility/Stealth and Haste/Speed are your two best friends when you are soloing.

your only real problem that a solo ranger will find it tricky to get round i battles that you have to finish quickly - one's where hiding and sneaking won't help you
fortunately i can only think of one that's a real stopper - one towards the end in the city in an audience hall of sorts where if you don't finish a tricky battle quickly the plot dies - regenerating enemies are also a problem without number i soloed BG1 with a beastmaster and it was fun although i used BGtutu so was level 9 at the end which was a help of course |
