This film totally freaked me out on a number of levels!

Firstly, Naomi Watts - the extremely beautiful Aussie who was the reason I went to see the Ring - in this film was the splitting image of my ex-wife.

Oh yes. It was really wierd watching the film at first. Very distracting.

Anyway, once I sort of resolved it (their eyes are different colours) the film started goving me the heebie-jeebies. Rather frightening to the core. Chill inducing. Really scarey in a "oh nononono.... please don't scare me I hate being scared why did I watch this film ohmygosh don't do that don't go there I know this is going to get..... <font size="+6">EEEEYYAAAAARGH!!</font>" kind of way.

In other words, I loved it.

And Naomi Watts IS incredibly beautiful.

LOL Hugh! It sounds like you've had quite an experience.

I am very much looking forward to seeing The Ring as I really enjoyed the original Japanese version. Could it be two successful remakes in a couple of weeks??!! Red Dragon and now The Ring.

I also find Naomi Watts extremely beautiful. I loved her in Mulholland Drive. She's captivating!

Shouldn't this one be in the Movies and Book section again?

I remember when the Japanese version played here in the FantAsia festival, I really, really wanted to see it, but didn't get the chance. I'll probably go see the remake, but I would still like to see the original. I'd prefer to see the original first, actually.

<font color="cyan">If you guys think the American remake of The Ring is scary, then I'd highly recommend watching the original Japanese release. Its way scarier IMHO. Try and get a copy with English subtitles cuz I had to watch the original without any and my Japanese wasn't up to mark. Thus, I couldn't fully understand some parts.

Oh, be very careful if you're watching it with a bunch of girls though, chances are, you'll wind up with temporary hearing loss b4 the end of the movie.

that movie was the cutest little thing, I sweat, It made panic room look like the care bears were guest stars in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The actress was full of more talent, the movie was quite freaky, but I'm not sure if the film has what is required ot be a classic, like Hannibal Lecture, or Signs, or a anything from those blair witch guys in my book. Then again you never know, perhaps this movie will steal the critics' hearts... Then again maybe they'll just find it all but oo similar to the other recent horror flic, Fear.Com, which as you can tell from the name is aleady going to be bad... -_- so I'm not sure on how the public will herald this movie yet... Well . . . . Yeah Bye. . .

What's the movie about? I scare horribly easily from such movies, but that doesn't stop me seeking them out

<font color="white">/)eathkiller : </font color>FYI, The original Japanese release of The Ring came out some years back. If anything, FearDot.Com is the one which is similar to The Ring. The premise of the movie was so unique that it created a whole new genre of horror movie plots. Thus, you have the recent American remake of The Ring and the crappy "copy-cat" FearDot.Com.
