OBSIDIAN has decided that no DM client will be in the release version. (In a patch maybe)!! (NO DM's in ANY mod)

You ALL need to get your ass over to Biowares NWN2 forum (Obsidian) and let them KNOW you want it (if you want it)

http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums....html?forum=95

I am SO PISSED OFF. First, no mounts. Second, no Portraits. NOW FOLKS, NO DM CLIENT!!

Whats next, no damn MONSTERS? And not to mention their GUI looks like a child drew it. God, NWN2 is looking more and more like shit. Obsidian is going to kill this. Don't developers GET IT anymore? Its like they WANT to fail.

Sorry for the bloody rant, but god, what the hell...

Just a heads up. If NWN2 doesn't have a DM client, do not expect ANY Support here for it. No forum for it, nothing. I will have nothing to do with it.

I will simply continue to release new content for NWN1, and my Mod, Escape from Undermountain. NWN2 will die, and NWN1 will keep on growing.

I went in but it looks like they locked the sticky thread about the dm client!

From the few things I read, it seems they plan to ship that later as a patch? One guy said 'what can we do?' it has to be launched before they can get the dm client working properly so they will launch first, worry about that later.... I wanted to reply "What you can do, is NOT ship out games before they are READY! Put all the components in them, test them, THEN release the game." but like I said, they locked the thread already.

As I said in the other thread.

I have lost all support for Obsidian. They did the same thing with KOTOR2 releasing it buggy and half finished.

They jump on to an already established franchise (Bioware did bot NWN and KOTOR) and ruin the sequals with a half finished shipped product.

This is the new thread:

http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums...forum=95&sp=30

The other went to 30 pages or something Locking is normal for when they get high.

I ripped into the CEO of Obsidian. (nicely). What bullshit. I am so pissed because they are ruining a sequel that has SO MUCH potential. (Seeing some these fanboys saying its no big deal is sickening). MOST Mods made use a DM.

Yeh, Tim.. They ruined ANY CHANCE of a third installment of KOTOR. I just don't get the gaming industry these days. They think they can throw out a bunch of half-assed crap and make it sell? Then wonder why they went out of business?

Someone needs to turn this industry around.

What REALLY pisses me off is that they KNEW there was no DM client shipping, and KNEW it would cause all hell to break loose if they said anything--yet, the original release date was supposed to be June.. Very telling...

No problem... We can always use wand-driven conversations to imitate DM effects...

Yeah, but that's one hell of a lot of scripting to just move a char that gets stuck somehow.

Not seen anything yet about NWN2 but this looks daft.

Does this meant that NWN 2 will not allow individual servers such as Undermountain to offer gamers their choices?

That does suggest someone is trying to make a quick buck out of a franchise. Is NWN2 going for a system where we would have to has to pay for access?

Doesn't sound very appealing.

I have seen nothing yet about it being MMORPG, or pay to play online. You can still run online servers w/out a dm client, but it takes away from the game, and no Halaster to stalk you through the halls of Undermountain.
