Okay, here are the final renders of the new Choc using skinmesh!
(This is gonna make IGN go nuts, no one has done a skinmeshed feline yet!)

Choc was my second model I did in MAX, way back a year or more ago. So my texturing skills are much better now (learned MAX more).. I used trueSpace before that, and left it in the dust since moving to MAX.

but what are you doing with the original model? just turfing it? using it elsewhere in the module? reskinning it and then using it elsewhere in the module? I am a packrat, so I hate to throw away anything that isn't broken...

The old one looks like a small dog from the front.

Good work there, ziroc!

I do have a question for all those looking forward to the new Choc in action: anyone ever come up with a theme song for him? Every other major player in the world of this module would be simple to choose one or two songs for, but what would you give Choc? A jazz track? Some deep house grooves? RAMMSTEIN? Come on, I would love to hear what others think of when they see Choc strolling through the bar and not even looking at the mice they KNOW are around the bar...

Actually, Rammstein might be good, if it's who I'm thinking. Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" might be appropriate as well, or maybe "Seek and Destroy".
