Ok, I was checking out some of the epic feats just to see what options I had and I was curious if anyone had ever built a barbarian to take advantage of terrifying rage feat. The thing I was wondering about is if epic skill focus: Intimidate would effectively make the rage 10 points harder to resist. The manual says it affects every roll made for that skill, and would probably be a pretty cool thing to RP out.

My other question was just a thought on a build. I was thinking about making a fighter/rogue with just a few levels in fighter to get all the armor and weapon feats then go with epic skill focus in UMI. The idea would be to have a rogue that carries a ton of bags of holding with different equipment to take on different challenges or disguise as different classes. It was just kind of an idea floating around that might be fun. Playing an obsessive compulsive organizer would be a little boring har. Just a couple thoughts I was wondering about, thanks in advance,

Sly

Already sort of doing that with just about every character I have. You could call me a magical packrat as it were, especially with my current build of Cleric/Thief/Assassin. I try to get as many of the effective spells as possible into bags so I can carry them around and drop incantations on my enemies fairly quickly. I figure that after I hit level 20, I'll just up my character in cleric levels so I can get her Harm as a spell.

Most of the characters I tend to have utilize bags as an arsenal. Also helps for those playing Arcane Archers, as you can have a ton of arrows in those little Gem Pouches without being weighed down severely. Hrmm, that gives me an idea now to try out. One needs to have magical ability to become an Arcane Archer, right? So why not a cleric/thief/AA? On the topic of the fighter/rogue with the tons of stuff in the satchel, which weapons would you specialize in? It'll make a difference in terms of what spells you'll want to be carrying with you.

Cleric spells are divine in nature, and by definition, you need to know arcane spells. Bard/wizard/sorc only. I did a bard/cleric/aa, and while she had no epic spells, she could hit stuff pretty regularly, and she had a nice buff list, both offensive, and defensive.
Undermountain is one of the places where if you go fighter/rogue, take daggers. There are several very nice daggers available. Take at least 4 lvls in fighter, and if you want to really be tough, keep the fighter/rogue lvls pretty close together, and take at least 7 lvls in weapon master.

Hi Cornbread.

Yes I have tried a Barbarian and got all the rage feats. They didn't work against most of the monsters and especially not against those on levels 10 and onward.

What I didn't try was building up a high intimidate score as well. Don't know how the two would work in combination but, being a pessimist by nature, I have to doubt that a high intimidate will give any better results.
