I have finished part 2 of the five part update, and this large update adds:

1. Highmoor Mountains finished and OPEN!
2. Level 13 Dwarven Hall TOTALLY redone with new tileset even!
3. Level 2 changes
4. Corrections made to a few things
5. Added a new Quest to Level 13 - Lady Zhara's Quest!
6. Ring of Harm and Wand of Fireballs that never ran out removed
(And I have a script that will remove them from your inventory when you log in, so don't freak out. They totally ruined the balance of the game, but I replaced them with a weaker version--wand now has charges. So you can still buy like 10 of them, but they run out and die.

6. No longer need to ask Durnan to 'train' you. The second you enter the mod, you automaticly are given XP totalling a level 7 level up and 150,000GP.

(And there is no loophole in this either!) Heheheh...

Many other tweaks and changes you'll find. I'm adding a random loot drop to all monsters, so sometimes they will randomly drop a set item or unique!

Nice!

Looking forward to doing some more exploring in the High moors.

Lady Zara she is the Drow outside the tower right ?

Ans I see you are being nice to the new guys cause we used to only get 100,000 GP after training

BTW I worked out what was causing me to drop out when loading waterdeep. Turns out I need to upgrade my video card and get some more ram because now that I have turned the graphics down I can zip in and out of waterdeep.

I never even found the ring of harm that never ran out, and now I never will. What a drag. Other than that, cool, except for that last bit TDC said, I tried turning down my graphics, but I was still dragging in Waterdeep. Funny thing though, it wasn't all the time, just sometimes. Computers still don't like me much, I guess.

Yeah I never found that unlimited harm ring either. RTB My problem was that the area would not even load. It got to like 80-90% then crashed me back to the desktop. now that I have set my graphics down a bit it works fine.

I so need to upgrade (I got a Gforce MX400 and only 192 MB RAM)

Was it necessary to be trained by Durnan, i.e. you couldn't survive out there with a Level 1 character?

Well, I'll still remember the humiliating experience of my fledgling level 7 wizard being beaten to death by a goblin and skeletons at the bottom of the well! A fighter character could probably survive, but it wouldn't be easy.

Hmm my ring of harm with 5 charges was taken off me. The charges ran out but came back when I rested. Ohh well back to level 12 to get me a new one.

Yeah, some were buying like 10 wands of hellball and 10 of rings of harm. waaay to much for 5 shots each. I lowered the shots to 2 or 3.

In DM mode, I see a few with like 10 wands of hellball. I 'dunna' wanna see that, capt'. Makes Halaster maddd...

I liked starting my character at Level 1 though. *shrugs* Oh well, I guess progress is progress. I personally was looking forward to creating Franklin Castligione and running him through the entire module starting at Level 1. I guess it is to make sure that many of the players that got frustrated and left at the difficulty of the module do not get turned off so quickly. I am sure there were a lot of people who just went in, saw how badly they were getting slaughtered, and chose never to come back.

The money aspect is a nice touch though, especially when players go to the deeper levels of the Undermountain (or perhaps find things in the Trollbark forest) and sell them off at Durnan's. For a starting player with a small wad of cash, you can get some really nice finds if you are lucky. By the time I was Level 6 (starting at Level 1), I had mastered the art of hoarding whatever I could find and cashing it in - especially when something really powerful turned up at Durnan's.

well I got a new ring of harm from the bed on level 12. It still has 5 shots and gets taken away on reentry. Maybe you missed one ?
