I frequently save my character so I do not lose XP or treasure in case an accident were to occur, but today the server kicked me off before I saved my latest work, and when I returned, I found that I still had my stuff. Is that only because the server had not yet been reset, but after a reset, any unsaved stuff is lost?

Does the server save automatically?

I'm pretty sure it saves your character automatically.

I looked at another character I was playing last night and she has some items I sold in Skullport. Hmmmmm Me thinks Choc has been hitting the catnip a bit much

I make a point to save after every fight, then I pick up treasures and save again. That way should the server dump, I don't lose anything.
I've played on too many sites not to save alot and I figure if I'm going to take the time to gain hit points or even an entire level I sure don't want to work for those same hit points again. so I say SAVE SAVE SAVE!!! it can't hurt!

But when you export a character it only makes a copy of the .bic file in your local vault folder. It doens't effect the way the server vault .bic files are saved.

I'm pretty sure you can set server vault to ssave every few mins but that is something that Ziroc needs to do.

I annoy party memmbers by logging off and re-logging. I don't think that it helps because I lost a level yesterday. It makes me feel a little better though, I can lay all the blame at Choc's little furry feet.
