If you get the quest from the rogue's ghost in the secret cave in the docks of WaterDeep. The one that send's you to the southend of waterdeep and you are below level 20 total, they are going to kick your ass and hand it back to you in a Bucket. Well what's left of it anyway.LOL!! I wasn't expecting that much fire power from the NPC's in that area but they really gave it to me and I found myself running for the gate as fast as I could run. I'll gain a few levels before I try that adventure again.

The encounter:

The Crimson Blade wanting to follow threw with the last wishes of a fallen rogue goes in search of his family to tell them of his fate. Just befor passing threw the gate into the southern end of Waterdeep a guard warns him that he is entering an unpatrolled area and that he will be on his own.
Not more than 30 seconds after entering the area 40 theives jump him and beat him to death. RESERECTION beat to Death---RESERECTION beat to death---RESERECTION---beat to death---RESERECTION runs like hell toward gate gets three steps and is beat to death---RESERECTION---RUNS LIKE THE WIND to the gate and guards kill all that follow him into Waterdeep SCREAMS I'LL BE BACK and limps back to store for more potions.

for the beatings they put on my poor body.
And my poor short little legs couldn't run
fast enough...hmmmmmm oh boy..Pay back time

Can PCs ever make friends with them, I feel sorry for the desert warriors in particular. Halaster has been messing with the whole lot of them - lizardmen included.

No, think about it for a bit.
Shouldn't pacifists have the right to be able to survive the Undermountain too?

I'm with Roddy, safe travels and furry friends for all

Bah, I can't even find the secret cave in the docks, but that's what you get for neglecting your search skill I guess. :/

There should be more options to bluff, persuade and intimidate your way through undermountain. Instead of just bashing your way through.

Legolas has been down on level 13 with roddy sneeking the mead too. PACIFISTS in Undermountain that would be like King Kong and Godzilla having a tea party. I DON'T THINK SO !! LOL
