Is this possible? Will the Weapon of Choice abilities be able to be used when dual wielding?

Yes.
Especially effective if you wield two of your Weapon of Choice ![]()

Actually, scimitars or rapiers are the best choices, as their crit range is 18-20.
With improved critical this improves to 15-20 and with the Ki Critical ability improves to 13-20. Excellent for a dev crit build.

Actually, the better choice is kukris, a keen kukri in the hands of a weapon master has a threat range of 10-20. Scimmys and rapiers are ok, they both have a good threat range, but I have had great success with kukris. Next time you guys catch me in EfU, ask me about Chris Bross IW. He's a kukri master, and he's a master, to say the least.

But if you come up against undead who are crit immune then their damage output is pretty low.
Thats when it is always good to have a blunt weapon handy.

I also struggled somewhat in my last run through SoU in that I couldn't find a single decent Kukri, but I'm right with you in that I think they're cool (from a practical and visual perspective), but I also think Rapiers and Scimitars can be equally effective. |

If I'm not mistaken, the Keen-ability only adds 1 to a weapon's threat range, so if a normal rapier or scimitar has a threat range of 13-20 when wielded by a Weapon Master with Improved Critical and Ki Critical, then a keen rapier or scimitar will be 12-20, not 10-20.
I don't know all these numbers by heart (going by Neo's post for this), but I'm pretty sure that kukris have a better threat range than rapiers and scimitars. |

So wielding a normal scimitar/rapier/kukri has a threat range of 18-20, improved critical a increases this to 15-20 (i.e. doubled) and a keen weapon doubles the base again to 12-20. At least that's how I thought it worked? |

You know, you just might be right. I've just looked it up in the equipment database at Gamebanshee (no access to the game itself right now since I'm at work), and a kukri's base threat range is 18-20, just like a rapier or scimitar. I thought it was 17-20 or so.
Allright, disregard my above post, please. ![]() |
