This fits here more than the NWN forum. I ran the updater last night and got nothing then today I got this. Yes it is Sunday. Funky!

Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide Gameplay Movies
================================================== ===================

From IGN!

"Here's nearly 10 minutes of in-game footage of the upcoming
Neverwinter Nights expansion, Shadows of Undrentide. You'll be
introduced to all the new tilesets, several of the new spells and a
bunch of new creatures. And for fans of bad-ass baddies (who isn't?)
there's a special surprise at the end. Mod makers, start your
drooling."

From GameSpot!

"Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide Video Walkthrough! Watch
a walkthrough by the developer playing an E3 demonstration of the
game. About 17 minutes of footage. Spoiler warning! There's a slight
spoiler near the end, describing how you got to a certain situation.
Beware!"

The first one looks great but I'm not watching the second one because of the spoiler (and I believe you have to be a Gamespot member for it). If what Bioware said at the NWvault is true I might even be able to play the campaign further than 10% of chapter 1 so I don't wnat to be spoiled

Just now watched that first one. The dang dude would not zoom in half the time well enough for us to se much, but what little I did see, I liked. I agree that the Pit Fiend was not what it could have been...I am hooked on the BG version. I also know that the majority of people in the NWN community have been begging for a freaking Beholder! Why can't we have a Beholder?! I want the entire Beholder family, and someday...we will have one.

Thanks for the link, btw!!!

Pit-fiend, simply a reskinned Balor. I coulda done that myself using photoshop and a hakpak. The half-fiend looks suspiciously like a certain OC henchman only with dark skin and red armor...I agree, the Beholders are what people want, I know I do.

If they did it right it should be something to behold SpiritWarrior. Imagine all the eyes beaming out different rays at yourself and party.

Wow, I want the next couple days to pass by fast

Light Bulb

Yup, and they *CAN* get it right. This engine would support it easily and I don't think any clipping issues would arise.

It looks more like what I thought the original game would look like. Up until I saw these videos I had no reason to buy it. I really was not impressed with Neverwinter Nights 1 but, shadows may just bring me back to Biowares product.
I would really like to see them come up with Beholders with really bad ass tempers and a good story line of them trying to inslave the forgotton realms. Just a couple hundred Beholders of all sizes and a King and Queen sucking the brains out of their victoms.

Did you catch in the video he could tilt the camera angle. Is that a camera view we already have or something new?

Also think about it. What is the next expansion called? Hum let me think. Hordes of the Underdark. Is not the Underdark filed with beholders? Losts of really nasty things will be coming our way then. At least that is my thoughts of the whole thing. Do you really think the only thing they would relase in it is higher levels? Probably some new monsters, yes, such as Illithids, Kuo-Toans, maybe even Myconids, Corbies and other critters. I hope they do some svirfnebli, and duergar as well, should prove fairly interesting

I'm really looking forward to it all!! The screens look promising.
