I'm replaying TotSC and I can't kill Garclax (Greater Wolfwere in Balduran's ship on Werewolf Island). My characters are all 6-7 lvl. I sneaked onto the 4th lvl of the wreckage and took Balduran's sword (+4 against Lycanthropes), but it doesn't help much. My party consists of: Kagain, Montaron, Yeslick, Garrick, Xzar and myself, a beastmaster.
I'm playing TUTU. I don't know if that's why I can't kill him or it's just the fact that my characters are too weak (I haven't been to Durlag's Tower yet and reached BG in the story plot). And one more thing. There should be that kidnapped child on the 4th lvl of the ship, but he isn't there. Thx in advance.

have you killed all the others around him? Also cheesy but: In bg TUTU you can run down the stairs and creatures will follow (well if its anything like BGT anyway) so anyway, do that and some of the wolfweres will follow, kick all their asses and when you go back up hopefully it'l only be him, then kick his ass if you can, try and let your strongest tank take all the damage and pound Garclax. It seemed easy last time I did it (with BGT) so I cant really offer any other help. Good Luck!

I did just that. Yes, they follow and I killed all but him. He regenerates all the time. While my fighters were slowly picking on him, I shot 12 magic missiles (Garrick and Xzar) into him, but when I look at his condition it's Uninjured or Barely injured.

I remembered another thing. When I sneaked to take that sword, I also grabbed Balduran's Log Book and brought it to the elf, but he didn't react to it. Instead he gave me the quest to obtain it again and gave me another amulet against Lycanthropes. Is that a bug or he takes the book only if I killed all the Wolfweres?

Dradeel doesn't want Balduran's Logbook, he wants his Spellbook. And Peladan should be there, you just have to look closely--he's an item on the floor.
As for killing Greater Wolfweres, I'm surprised you're having trouble with that many Warriors. Just remember that overcoming their Regeneration is the key: Haste everybody, get some decent Summons and haste them too (although, now that I think about it, I doubt any available Summons will even be able to hit the guy), and dish out your most powerful offensive spells, like Vampiric Touch. Slow Garclax if at all possible--his Regeneration should be halved.

OK, I noticed that I brought Dradeel the wrong book. Why did he give me another amulet then?
I tried to kill him a couple of times now. And each time I haste my characters, cast Chant and Bless as well, but they still can't get him Badly injured. Another thing. I just tried to kill him again and I sent Montaron to backstab him. Then I sent him to the 3rd level where the rest of my party was. Then something weird occured. He didn't follow. I sent my party to 4th level of the ship, but he wasn't there either. I searched everywhere, but he simply disappeared. I talked to Kaishas in the village and she thanked me for killing all of the Wolves... I'd still like to kill him anyway. I tried to use Chromatic Orb but he isn't affected by it, Vampiric touch, but Xzar can't even punch him and Hold person (although I don't know does he count as a humanoid), but he saves against it anyway... I remember this as the hardest fight in the whole game, especially when I had an all magic-users party. Not sure how the mods effect things but I found he had very high resistance to magic but only partial resistance to wands. I managed to kill him with a Wand of Fire, but maybe they have changed his saves in TUTU. Good luck, MG

I have, as Enforcer's brother, played on the same system. I have had no such problems with Karoug, but it is worth mentioning that he (although slowed) regenerated so quickly that three 8th level paladins (with sorcerer's and marksman's support) spent a good two minutes hacking at him, and him alone. He just regenerates too fast.
Just to inform you, we have solved my brother's problem in a rather rude way: you know, Karoug just had a heart attack, taking 1149 points of damage (he was unable to regenerate that quick!) and the party got 8001 XPs just for looking. Ah, c'est la vie.
