So all these regents in chapter 2.... Are they useful at all to me like in chapter one anyplace to make cool armor or anything like that in chapter 2?? i am ranger i figure if i was a mage i would be realy happy but i am not... ARe they useful at all in chapter 2?

Well, if you want to shop at Eltoora's store you'll need reagents.
If you can cast mage spells and/or use scrolls, you'll also want to save those reagents... Ask Eltoora for a quest. The first time you recover an item, it'll become clear to you. If you're NOT a spellcaster, though, don't bother. Just save a few berries and knuckles so you can shop at Eltoora's, just in case, and ignore the rest.
