i hate how the WHOLE party is affected by your actions. if youre evil and the rest of your party is good, doing evil things will cause THEIR alignment to change too!
i was in a game with a friend, a druid....naturally, he has to be neutral. i was evil and ...uhh...accidentally killed some people i wasnt supposed to. anyway, lots of people attacked me and i had to defend myself.... to make a long story short, i changed MY FRIEND'S alignment to evil and he lost the ability to level up as a druid! i felt really bad, even though im evil. ![]() he took it pretty well, though...and tried to get revenge by changing my alignment to good lol PARTY ALIGNMENTS = BAD! what are your thoughts on this? |

but it does make sense, in a roleplaying way, if a paladin was traveling with a chaotic evil rogue he would be considered responsible, by his god and church at the very least, if said rogue went out and killed every person in the game that wouldn't fork over every penny he had. by letting the evil character get away with it he compromises his own neutrality...

not quite
automatically changing the alightment doesnt allow for the paladin to decided that his companions are suddenly not as good as he might have thought them; and so therefore kill them or leave them. |

That is the way of D&D rules... Always has been, and always will be... It is just common sense... Good and Evil characters logically would not coexist in the same party... Neutral characters have it rough, due to strict alignment requirements...
Just apply real life rules to your role playing actions, and it will make sense...

but what if someone joins your game and joins your party...say youre a paladin and hes an evil dude. he kills everyone he sees and now youre a fallen paladin...thats not fair how do you know what their alignment is? |
