Ranged and melee weapons

Is there a way I can set up my ranger so she will use her bow while the enemies are at range, then switch to her longsword automatically when they come into close range? At the moment I'm just shooting at close range or not bothering with my bow at all, which isn't very rangerish

, because I can't be bothered to keep changing weapons using the inventory screen.

You can set up hot keys for each weapon. Drag to bow to an empty hot key. Now drag your melee weapon set up, either a single weapon, two weapons or weapon and shield. If multiple items, just drag one, then the other. You can now click on the hot key with the mouse, or press the appropriate F key to switch weapons. You character will still pause for a moment to make the switch, but it's quicker than doing it through the inventory screen.

I rarely use missile weapons with my ranger. The viewing range is so small it's rarely practical. By the time I get a single shot off, the enemies are on top of me.

I also love how you can COMBINE melee-plus-shield on the SAME hotkey! drag your mace, then drag and drop your shield. You can also make a torch-dart combo! love that. different kinds of ammunition can be hotkeyed too- bolts of frost in one, and normal bolts in another
