OK, here we go. I recently started BG+ToTSC, and came to quest concerning fishermen and priest of Umberlee. I decided to talk with her first, but no matter which dialogue option I choose, she turns hostile. After I beat her a little, she tells me a story about the bowl, and I decided to help her, but she remains hostile and I have to kill her.
I already did the search about this, but the general advice is to kill them both.I don't want to do that, because I'm playing a LN fighter and I think that killing someone is a bigger crime, than being an evil priest of an evil god. And no, I haven't patched up the game yet, so is this a bug or what? |

Patching the game would be advisable in any case.
The priestess is indeed supposed to be hostile in the beginning, but after you slap her around for a bit and you get the quest from her, she should become neutral (cyan circle) again. Did you perhaps cast any spells on her with a long-term effect, like Melf's Acid Arrow for instance? Make sure that as soon the dialogue ends, you pause the game and click the Stop/Abort Current Action button, so that no one inadvertently keeps on attacking and turns her hostile. Also take care that when you started casting a spell before she initiates the mid-fight dialogue, its effects may make her hostile after the dialogue. If neither of the above happened, I think the patch might solve the problem anyway. Good luck!

Yes, that might be the case, since my tank was hitting her hard and the rest of the party was pelting the poor girl with arrows/bolts, so it might be that something hit her after she turned neutral.
Thanks for the tip. Patch was already on my ˝to download˝ list when I bought the game, but I haven't took the time yet. |
