You sold him the shells for 500? Tsk Tsk Tsk. Now the armor is lost to you. You have an option. You can sell the shells or have him make armor for you. Either or, not both. and he only does this once.

You shouldn't sell the shell. Reload the game. The armour is good.
You can find another Ankheg armour in the game. [ 06-13-2003, 03:17 AM: Message edited by: Jan ] |

Yes but the smith won't make the Ankheg armour if you sell the shell to him.

You can get all the ankheg shells you like and sell them to the smith. You should still be able to commission the armour (you need another shell for that, but there are plenty).
Once commissioned, you cannot sell any more shells. You also have to wait for ten days of game time before the armour is ready and you can pick it up. The Nashkell armour is completely unrelated to any of it. Usually, you are better off selling all shells and saving for the full plate mail rather than getting the Ankheg armour. The latter is enchanted, which makes it far less useful (although the lighter weight can count for a lot). |

Couldn't sell a single shell to the smith after he made the armour + he wouldn't make the armour if I sold a shell to as the first thing.
Might have been a bug I don't know but that's what happened in my game. Tested it a few times. |
