Newbie quest help please

Dear folks,

I've been trying to get the guilds to accept that I have done some quests and having no luck. I've killed Mon the Sculz, but I can't seem to get the armory to recognise that. I go into the armory and click on quests, but I get told there are no quests for me.

I've also given two potions to Mekdawa but I cannot get him to acknowledge it. I'm feeling very frustrated after several hours of trying. I've chased that toad all over the place and the system acknowledges receipt but he never says so.

Is there some process I'm missing with this? Is anyone with the knack willing to take one of my save games to fix this? It's such a simple thing to get stuck on, but I have an eighteen month old son and not much time to spend on the game.

Hello, MelindaOz;

The quest icon is for getting 'new' quests. All you should have to do is make sure that the person who has the quest is qued up, and then wait for smitty to go through his, greeting ect. sometimes it takes awhile for the shop owners to get to the point.

As for mekdawa, make sure you pick 'give' on the use/give scroll and have the potion pictured there, then you'll get a blue targeting cursor. Just click on mekdawa, he just says 'I need this , toads need this'. If it's gone from your pack, he got it. Then just go to the temple to get credit.

Re: the potion, Medkawa just won't say what he needs to. I've definitely used the "give" option, the system says the character gives it to him, and it's definitely gone from my bag, but he just won't say it. Argh. Guess I'll go and try again.

My very first problem in W&W had to do with not getting credit for a quest which is when I came searching for and found this board. You have to wait for the NPC to finish talking no matter how long that takes. Just wait until you meet Sebastio!!
