This is my first time posting here so be gentle =) I'm in the village of Valeia (the starting city) Been playing for a couple hours now, but for some reason there are two buildings i can't get into. One looks like a mage tower on the far left side. the other is next to the temple, I assume it is where the rogue guild is. Any idea why i can't get into these two buildings? I realy want to turn my mage into a warlock.

Thanks a ton.

Welcome to the forum LB,

First, there's no thief guild in Valeia. Are you able to enter any buildings?

Buildings from left to right:

1- Mage guild, it's a tower on a small bute
2- INN
3- Fighter's guild
4- Town Hall, it's in the background
5- Priest guild.

To enter a building, you just have to click on it. If that doesn't work, I would suggest reading "Saz troubleshoothing treat" (top of this page). Maybe you can find an answer to your problem there.

As far as taking your Wiz to warlock, I would suggest you wait until you've attained level 7 in Stonecraft and level 3 in Suncraft (word from the wise ).

Good luck and feel free to post. We're a friendly bunch that loves to help new players

This sounds like it might be the Win2000/XP problem with the town graphics files. If you are using one of these O/S's you might take a look at this link:

Welcome to the board, Lord Bane!!!

I'm glad your town problem was so quickly resolved! Problems such as this are frequently covered in the Saz' techie help desk thread at the top of the forum. Ziroc gets credit for finding the add on which allows us to have "sticky" posts for the Best Tips and Saz' thread.

Hope you are enjoying the game!!

Quick idea, when your trying to save the file, are you saving it under the same name as the orriginal? i don't think it will let you do this. You have to save it under a different name than the orrigional. I put a "b" at the end of each new file. Then went in and deleted the orrigionals, and renamed the new files to match the orrigionals. Hope this makes sence.
