I can't work this out, despite prowling thru many other posts on the subject looking for answers.
My bard cannot get items blessed in the temple. She has Cabalist, Blessings, and Artifacts. She has the spell "Artifact of Stone". All I get is a message for each item. "You need other blessings for this" Just as FYI, she also has Occultist, Enchant, Artifacts, and Artifact spells for Ice and Fire. Don't have any trouble enchanting items, just can't do any blessings in the temple. Even switching to warlock made no difference !! HISS !! FFFTTT !! ( hissy fit ) What have I done wrong or missed? Hey Pangur,
The "best" artifcact spells to have are Fiend, Vine and Spirt when dealling with blessings. Artifact of Fiend gives added damage to weapons. Artifact of Vine gives toughness to both weapons and armor. Artifact of Spirit gives Regen abilities to Armor. I cannot remember, but I think that Spirit gives you To hit bonus to weapons as well, and Fiend gives AC bonuses to armor. I thought that Stone gave more AC to armor, but if you already have Stone and it says you need other blessngs, then it must be either Spirit or Fiend that gives AC bonuses. Fire, Moon and Sun do not have any blessings associated with them so that is why you keep getting the "Need other blessings" message. Hope this helps. Strange! With the Artifact of Stone, you should be able to bless your items for Armor Class. Try a Bronze Cuff or a (non magical) ring.

You need to add to your Blessings skill. You can only bless an item up to its skill level. After that, it will prompt you to add more blessings. You have to wait until your next level up to add or train there.

The artifact of stone spell might be the one that puts charges of Zap in things. Only certain spells work with certain things. You don't need more skills, just more spells, good luck, there was a very good post on another forum about this. With any luck Wyvern will look it up for us as someone quoted a whole page on item creation (I'll have a look on my HD and put it up here if she doesn't find it soon).
