And i have a question on bows. I need the second weapon trait/skill to use it right? Where can i get it? ()xxxxx{}::::::::::::::> WizardMen |

Hi WIzardMen -
That monkey seems to hang out in the area around where he was originally released and the area of the 6 door slot/lever puzzle - at least that is where I usually finally cornered him. Personally, I never found bows to be worth the effort. There is a thread by Mort (I'll push it back up) which is on this topic. Wyv |

Thx Wyvern. I also dont like the bows but i have to use them cause i would never dream of killing mantraps in hand combat yet since im only a solo ranger.

Hehehe, following on the footsteps of RudeDawg... how courageous... I must say that I'm not blaming you. Rude Dawg's exploits are motivating me to go and start over as a warrior and then accend to barbarian and finish the game as such... It will be a great game 'cause I won't guild hop or use gold making tricks...
![]() ![]() ![]() Back to your questions. You don't need the second weapon skill to use a bow. Just put it in your left hand and that should do the trick. Make sure you have lots of arrows. To switch from sword to bow, all you need is to click on the top part of the scroll that shows your character's weapon. Also, when you're far, the game automatically switches to bow and when you're close, it switches to melee weapon. As far as the monkey goes. Hangs around the monkey pit, statue of Kerah and multiple door area. My advice is to cast binding force on him when you see him. The spell will follow him and paralize him. When you get to him, keep slashing... if he gets away again, binding force. Good luck and keep us posted. [This message has been edited by Ryanamur (edited 05-19-2001).] |

Now im past that but I met another problem. I just dove right at that Xydusa(something like that)snake person and i started getting into a rythm and then she turned me to stone(or whatever it is. that little gray face was were the poison icon was). So i tried again and the same thing happend. And then Again. So is there a way to protect myself from that?

Luck of the draw. As a solo Ranger, you're going to have to close in on her. Just keep whacking. You don't have any spells that will affect her.
Cast "Haste" on yourself...that may help. Give you more strikes against her. Also, use Bloodlust potions and any other defensive potion you can find. -Sazerac |

Hey WizardMen, Check out "That Monkey Sure Can Run" thread. You can appreciate it now that you've been there. One of my favorite threads, hilarious!
