I think I may have let the monkey get away with the 3rd monkey idol in the Serpent Temple. It was days ago. Any suggestions?

Don't fret, just hang around the area for a while he comes and goes. I thought I had lost him too but he returned after a few minutes. You will know it's him because when you put your cusor over him it will say something like monkey with strange item. Hope he show up for you soon.

Actually, the monkey with the idol spawns outside the monkey room, so don't bother blocking the doorway, he's already out and running about.
Maybe you can trap him in the Kerah Statue room. |

I usually see the "monkey with an object" again around the coin-slot-rooms, where you press the levers and put a coin in, and the doors open? He usually shows up there for me.
