Feeling really DUMB... in sunken city.. can't open grate?

I hate to even post this~ but, I've already spent too much time trying to get that grate open in the sunken city... I've talked with the mermaid (Serialla?) she gave me a gemstone and that's it. I assume I need to go beyond the grating by her, but can't figure out how to open it.

Please.. is there a switch or something I've missed?

Dear DH,
You are talking about Collasium, right? Try talking to her again, the mermaid should open the grate for you when you asked her about the city, I think. Try saying everything you can to her. If this doesn't work, we'll have to asked Wyv. So check back later.

Thanks for the tips...although I think I've already made mention of both of those choices~ it's certainly worth trying again.

Will check back and let you know if that did it..

Dhughes, if all else fails you might resort to killing her. After that you should be able to click on the gate and it'll open (as long as you don't stand on it).

Hi all~

Thanks again for all your help~ I did go back in the game last night and finally got her to answer me when I asked about the Oracle ... and she opened up the grate and KILLED herself when it kept slamming against her!!!

Sure hope that I don't need her for anything later on!
