Is there any use for skull dagger ?
I read (some older messeges posted on this forum)
about using cursed items (when regenerating).
Is it the case ? And is it worth the trouble
(for a wizard with dagger skill) ?
Thanks in advance for anybody who answers
this simple question of W&W beginner.
C.R.

Really up to you - I'd just sell it and look for the Wizards Blade for your Wizard. It is a much better weapon and not cursed!

Enchant +2, Hit +2 and Sleep.

(but do you really have your wizard using a weapon instead of casting spells??)

Dear Wyvern,
I hoped there will be something "deeper" about this
skull dagger (compare Wizardry 6,7...).
Anyway, many, many thanks, for your kind and quick reply !!!!

Well Chris, I, too, had hoped the Skull Dagger was worth something, because regardless of whether or not the stats were any good(cannot remember atm), it just looked really cool(yes, I would probably use a weapon with worse stats just because it looked "cool") but it seems the dagger is virtually worthless
=(. Oh well, there has to be another cool looking useful dagger out there for your Wizard, good luck finding it!

Note that the Assassin's dagger and skull dagger look alike.

Now the Assassin's Dagger THAT is a cool weapon! It's too bad you must give it up to become an Assassin, I would like to have kept that one for sure. You can get that one, Chris, when you do a favor for a Ratlin later.

Dear mammawlin,
You don't need to give it up. When you are asked in the thief-guild, if you want to be an assassin, just give the dagger to another character in your party. So you can have multiple assassins.

P.S.: I know it's a bit off-topic, but I hope it helps...

Lexus: That's not off-topic at all! It's a good point. One thing, though...you must be running the unpatched version of the game to get this to work. The trick also works with other valuable quest items. Ardibren's Keepsake comes to mind (great for Kung-Fu artists to hold in their hand AND it can be charged way up with +AC bonuses, among other things). Also: the Monk's Ward, the No-Dachi of the Stone, Gos'hin's shield, etc.

Gee guys, I am learning a lot today! I didn't know that and I didn't have the patch back when, but do now - Darn! I learned a lot about the Wishing Lamp today too! Man I LOVE this forum. And am almost over the "Lack of Forum" syndrom finally.

Mammawlin (knowing more all the time) hmmmm

Other than the obvious use as a weapon, I agree with Wyvern (prety useless). I did however find it handy when i was low on gold. Buy it from the thieves guild for 800 and sell it at the smithy for 900... easy money.

Apart from that, there are a lot better uncursed weapons out there.

Enjoy the gold!
