ok th oison quest..i have done this before but don't rember what exactly i did

ok this time after lothender told me and i saw the divinere i went the umberlees house she wanted bbok of wisdom i went and got it for her she gave the scroll i then went to lothender again go his potion of antidote then went and charmed Marek stolle his portion and killed him then dranl all potions bur im still tossing my coookies every 24 hours what did i do wrong ????(i did it once with my thief who just had the potion then reloaded and had main character drink it ....no difference)

I don't remember drinking the potions. I think you just have to obtain them and then it says aura cleansed or something.

The final showdown with Marek has to be done just right for the poison to be cured. Drinking the potions won't help, the dialog should say you are cured when Marek dies. I am wondering if using Charm has messed things up. Hope you kept a saved game. (Also check the Six-of-Spades website for help.)

Thanks i fuigured it out i thought it might be something like that unfortunatly i accidently saved over the point i began the quest at but i saved again before i accually killed Marek so i left did th quest were you get the dead boy back and laughted my rear of as the poor boy is resurect just to get is but chewed out *LOL* sounded almost exacaltly like my dad(although i never died and been resurected [img]smile.gif[/img] anyway when i when back the charm had worn off and he was neutral again he even said his line about me just hassening my death this time i just outright killed him and was just fine [img]smile.gif[/img]

Good. You should be fine now. The ONLY thing that can turn off the "Party Is Poisoned" variable is to TALK to Marek. Even if you sneak up to him and whack him with a single Backstab, you still won't get the all-important "You have been cured of Marek's poison" line in your text window. If you see that, you're fine. If not, you're dead.

which is a bit silly really, should be a case of getting the antidote from his corpse and drinking it, but as he has two antidotes on him if oyu get the wrong one you die too, only way round it is to read descriptions, cos if a potion is coloured wrong it normally tells you, that would mean the astute adventurer would be fine anyone else dies horribly and has to reload. The antidote you actually receive is completely pointless and does nothing, doesnt even cure normal poison if you use it i think

It does cure normal poison, in fact it's the equivalent of 10 Antidotes packed into a single 1-pound bottle. But yes, if drinking it would actually reset the Poisoned quest so that you don't die, that would definitely save a lot of people a LOT of grief.

yep, bit rigid on the way this one is played out unlike most of the other quests (where you can steal quest items from the relevant people [img]tongue.gif[/img] )
