The choice is yours...I am currently playing a second round with three high level characters and 3 new ones and to tell you the truth, it isn't quite as fun with no challenge. I would guess it would depend on whether or not you might make a re-play too easy on yourself. With just one character and some good items though, you might still be challenged.

Exactly "how" did you mess them up??

There are certain advantages to starting again once you have already been playing a while. Knowing more about the game and what will happen, you tend to make wiser choices.

actually it doesnt make one week im playing, i mean, messing up my caracters like, having my wizard having 4 circles of magik, trying to learn all spell was getting kinda hard so i was getting only the best one, didnt know that i there was a skill to identify so i used to loose like all my money on identify, made the wrong characters with wrong choices, like.. dunno, instead of making a warrior to ninja then getting lockpicking skillz, ive made a rogue, totaly useless so far, since i cant get in any guild b4 the third town.. i dunno, i just restarted the quests but ive keep one character and all the equipment, may sounds easy i know, but took me kinda while playing to get where i got, now i have to make all the way back. so, i just made 5 new chars, tell me if its a good choice, Human lady warrior - ninja ... human man priest to Monk...oompha lady wizzard to warlock (using only stone and moon circles of magik)...gourk men warrior to barbarian, dwarves men warrior to samurai, and i have my old human paladin.

Dragoon, it's not that difficult learning all spells - especially since every spell adds mana to the pool in that particualar craft it is even rewarding. And there come some monsters which are immune to one or even several crafts. My chars all went through all elite roles (picking up skills, spells & hp on the way). But you need to play with often/hard to get anywhere. My starting point was 5 wizzards & 1 priest, ending with Zenmaster, Assassin, Valkyrie & 3 Ninjas.
I listed all progression in the post which asks for Character Names (my entry is #33 I believe), as example I give you my rogue substitude:
Female Ratling: Wizzard 4 (getting a start in stone/sun), Barbarian 10 (lockpicking & building up hp), Samurai 11 (filling in sun spells), Paladin 11 (starting spirit & gaining CRUSADE), Ranger 12 (vine spells), Bard 12 (starting moon & gain TRICKERY), Monk 12 (fill in spirit), Ninja 12 (finish moon), Warlock 13 (filling in other lvl 5+ spells, especially stone) then went back to IN to make her Assassin (and learning fiend), ended up a level 31 Assasin (so had plenty of time to catch up on the low level spells left out previously).
If I try it another (third) time, it will be starting with all Wizzards, because my Priest (Human Female) had to wait to the very end to learn stone (as Valkyrie).

Your Rogue can get into a guild in the second town, Ishad N'ha...the Pawn Shop is the Windmill building. (I missed it my first time in town and came here to ask about it).
My Rogue did very well for himself getting promoted to Ninja and then Assassin. He is one of the characters I took out in my second playthrough of the game.
