How do I get the Masque of Evil?

I killed the serpent master and got the serpent master key, now there are two elevators. The walkthrough says to take the one on the left up to the 4th elevator room and use they key on the east lock, then go east. But there's no east lock! Where do I go?!

The walkthrough I used a while back stated:
"Take the left elevator to get to the next point and use the key to open the way. One staircase and two switches later you'll finally find Elyssia.
Before you fight her, you should go back to the locked room shortly before the elevators. You can open it with the key from the Serpent Master and you'll find the Tome of Fire (Zenmaster quest Item) in the left chest."

I did not have any problems following the walkthrough I used beyond having to figure the elevators out by myself and don't remember having any problems not seeing a key hole, but as you can see above, I was given no specific direction to look for one and don't remember if the elevators were mixed up in it either so if you take the left elevator and see no obvious keyhole on any wall, try the right one. : )

& don't forget to go back to get the Tome of Fire of you are planning on becoming a Zenmaster later in the game!

You're better off taking the right elevator first, to go to the treasure room between the elevator maze and the Naga. You might be sorry if you skip it.
Then go back the same way and take the left elevator this time. The room you end up in should have a locked door in the West. You can use your newfound key on the keyhole next to the door in the north wall.

Thank you! I just didn't take the big elevator all the way up and kept ending up back where I started. You can get off at three places, two of which are wrong. Thanks!!

Thanks for pointing out my mistake in the Serpent Temple walkthrough. The keyhole in the fourth elevator room (the sw room) is on the north wall of the west part of the room, and the exit is west. Fix has been made.
