About to hit Cet's pyramid...and want to complete both the valk and zen master quests, and have the know how from this site..THANKS ALL!! Question though, if I return to town with proper items in hand, when I goto the guild and temple would I have needed to be given a quest to optain these items?
In other words, to become Valk. or Zen Master is there a specific quest you are given from an individual from town (like all the others,) where I'm asked if I want to except or not, or if I return with the items it's a given. Thanks!! |

No, it works just like the Assassin quest; enter guild with item(s) in hand, and you're asked whether you wish to become said class -- you needn't even be a member of that guild!

Nope, all you need are the items in your inventory. That's it. Just go to the appropriate guild and you'll be offered the ascension.
That was part of the upset most people had about this part of the game; there was never any indication what one should do to complete these quests. Even a scroll found in a chest hinting at the quest would have been appreciated. Basically, if you didn't know about it from the forum, most people wouldn't have been able to figure it out unless they stumbled across them by accident. ZenMaster may have been easier, but who would have thought to have a Female character burn a lich heart to become a Valkyrie? -Sazerac |

Since Valkyries escort the dead (rather than destroy them) I am in total agreement on this point, however if Sister Lisa ever does become one then Durin and Gertha will make her change her name, plait her her and sing!"Hiyotohoh!" etc, etc. If she refuse then they won't bother going back to town to let her do so (are these characters joined at the hip or something, the word "siamese" springs to mind, damn- it's the MM syndrone again, ah return to Castle Darkmoor- NOOO!!!!!) and creuly taunt her until she applies cultural values to her newfound status.

Aakk, Balgin--Darkmoor, quite possibly the most exasperating dungeon I've ever played (and I've been through some doozies!!)
