why not protected internet???

Why isn't BG playable on the internet in multiplayer, I'm mean we know some people would try to hack into the system and enable cheats, but there is patches for that. I just want to understand!!!!

It is,.

Create a TCP/IP game and give it the IP of the host. Host should be the person with the fastest computer and, more importantly, the best connection. They can get there IP address with the winipcfg program, or ipconfig. The IP changes with each connection so its a pain to organise, but easily doable.

go to gamespy arcade if you got it and you'll find listings of people hosting games with all the info you need, although admittedly not many people are doing it
