This is my fourth time playing through the game, and it's the first time I encountered this:

I ran through the Rat Thieves and hopped over the moat to Shurugeon and did an about face to await the Mantraps, readying my Sun magic; I fought off Worgurs, all the Rats, stupid Killer Moat Fish, and guess what? NO MANTRAPS!

Well, I figured they must have spawned, they were just sitting there waiting for me. So I resolved to save every two seconds (I had a slot called "WHERE ARE THEY?!" and just saved over it!) and ran about looking for them. Where were they, you may ask?

Apparently the poor little children had gotten lost on their way to kill me. I found one at Scanthril's House and one at Erzebette's house; the other two had wandered off in the opposite direction -- I found them, right next to each other, in front of the Dragon Spire.

This is serious wierdness -- thankfully it was daylight at the time. I wasn't Invisible or Shadowed, so why did they run off like that?

The Elf had just enough presence to become a Ninja, and the Oomphaaz had like none (single digits, certainly).

But I have, when I played with one character, had presence that high or higher at that point in the game; they attacked me right on schedule then.
