The Wizards & Warriors theme for Windows 98 is about 75% complete. I've got the default background, colors, sound set, and icons ready, and now I'm working on the screensaver (a pain!) and the cursor set. It looks really good so far. I'm really pleased with how the sound set is coming; I've been able to do some interesting effects with some MP3 to WAV editors as well as some audio splicers and mixers for the opening and closing Windows music themes. Other things I've incorporated: Gareth's saying "Something has happened" on a program error, Elyssia's belting out "Murderers!" when Recycle Bin is emptied; etc. Hopefully by the beginning of next week (if I work diligently on it this weekend) I'll have all the bells and whistles on it and it will be ready for download. I'm having a lot of fun working on it.
Cheers, |

Thanks a lot, Gauleiter! I appreciate your support, and the kudos on the pic. As you can tell, I love doing creative stuff whenever I can.

That sounds Fantastic! What a great use for a great imagination!
I have such a mixture of wavs for effect on my PC, lol...@ Start-up it says (some old man's with, the word drawn out slowly) "Master!" I will love to experience your W&W Theme though! : ) Moni |

One of the best sounds I use is on my ICQ at work. When a meesage comes in I hear the sound of an arrow hitting a target followed by "Message for you sir!"
Anyone remember where the line is from? Mark |

I sure do, Mark! That's from "Monty Python", when Sir Launcelot (John Cleese) and his squire (Graham Chapman) are journeying through the woods near Swamp Castle. Herbert, the sissy imprisoned in the tower by his father (Michael Palin), shoots an arrow with a "help" message on it from the tower and inadvertently hits Graham C. in the chest. He sinks to the ground, lifeless, breathing, "Message for you, Sir."
Outstanding use of a tagline! |
