Anephas Ashes

I'm at Anephas' Temple, found the ashes, and placed them on top of his holy altar - kerah told me i need the heavenly light to give rebirth to Anephas - but how can I do that?
is it something with the small ray of light on the pedestal close by?
And close to that pedestal is a door I cannot open (think its one hallway to south)

Guess I need a spoiler there - can anyone help me plz?

DId you get the obelisk of light when you were visiting Kerah?? (it was found in the portal) You need to place the obelisk of light on the pedestal with light - but wait, there's more! Next look around the room and notice 2 things: 1) decorative obelisks and 2) odd squares in the floor. Carry decorative obelisks - place in squares!

The door you mentioned cannot be opened until after you have raised and spoken to Anephas - then that's your way out!

Thank you very much for ur answer - but now I got another Problem. I already was at Kerah's before, useing the stone pillar as an elevator. Then I came back into the shrine. Now - knowing that I need to get the Obelisk, I cant get back up to Kerah, cuz the pillar is always up.

I removed the figurine and placed it on the alter again - didnt help. I left the shrine and came back in - didnt help either - what do I need to do, to lower the pillar again??

Easily the most annoying bug in the game: if you didn't fetch the Obelisk thing while you were at Kerah, I think you've just gotta reload to an earlier time, 'cause the stupid pillar won't lower anymore -- another instance of the general "lift bug".

The patch fixes this one, but I don't know if it will free a stuck lift.
