My trick is this:

First I find out where the enemies on the screen are, then I reload my game and walk up to the point right before all the black (unrevealed portion of the screen) goes away and the enemies can see me. Then I fire off as many fireball spells as close as I can to where the enemies are!

This was the ONLY way I could get that Ghost on the 4th Above ground level (or 3rd or whatever) in Durlag's Tower to die! If I saw him and he started talking and all that he immediately cast some really strong mirror image spell and I couldn't touch him at all!

I like that tactic SoS It works wonders!!!

And about Durlags Tower...the ghost isn't all that hard (to me anyways), I went in with my level 7 fighter adn just hacked him to pieces with Minsc, Kivan and Coran shooting him with arrows.

When in doubt EMPTY THE QUIVER!!!

Although I have used your tactic in the past when a particular battle was infuriating me I have to admit that I do indeed feel that it is much more of a powergaming tactic than on taken from a more roleplaying aspect.

That is the most basic tactic I can think of.. if you move carefully enough you dont even have to reload the game. I use that tactic almost all the time when my party faces the most difficult enemies. EXCLUDING the fireballs, of course. That just ain´t fun enough.

True. But where is the fun in that? j/k I lumbered on in there, got the snot beat out of me, ratzafratza, reload, lumbered on in again, got the snot beat out of me...repeat. Perhaps a change of tactics was in order? Let's use Mr. Baggins tactic - Empty the Quiver. That helped. Caution is my usual approach, until I suffer a brain-stoppage. That's when I charge on in and get the snot beat out of me. Whatever you do, don't use the Summon Kobold spell!

That is the cheesyist thing I can think of. What is the challenge in that, the enemy doesn't even see you, have no way of retaliating and proves that you are a true munchikin and have no idea of what roleplaying is!

Slow down Aikanaro or someone will report you.

It was just some easy tricks. No one said that they use the same trick over and over again.

Play through BG, TotSC, SoA and ToB without resorting to any cheese of any description and then Ill side with you. Till then, you ant say you never use cheese because you dont know when youll need it.
