Random items in this game, or is everything set?

Is this game closer to IWD1 in that it has random stuff, or closer to BG2 with every bit of treasure set already?

Klorox, yes, there are many randomized items in this game. In fact, one of my favorite weapons is randomized

. However, there are still many guaranteed weapon drops.
